Updates
2007: Meteor F4 VT229 was sold to the United States by the Newark Air Museum in 1991. It is still registered to Kermit Weeks, Polk City, Florida as N229VT but confirmation of its status is needed. The distinctive center section of a Meteor was seen at his storage facility in October 2002 (see photo above) but the identity was not confirmed. Has anyone else seen or recorded details of this aircraft?, The photo above shows it in reasonable state although there is some damage to the rear part of the port Nacelle.
If you have up to date images of any of the Meteors above, especially if there is no photograph of the airframe then please get in contact. We would also like to know about any other airframes or cockpit sections that may exist which are not listed. Additional historical information can also be sent in at any time. Please get permission from the copyright holder before sending in any image that is not your own. We are not in a financial position to purchase images for use on this site.
