Meteor Flight Shop |

To help raise funds for the project we now have an shop on the website. Its very low-tech at the moment as ordering will via an email with payment by cheque although PayPal can be accepted as well if you have an account as I have because of some purchases on EBay. The latest news is that we now stock Tamiya kits including their excellent Meteor III and ME262 kits, see details below.

One of the first offerings is the print above which is also featured on our home page at the moment. We have a number of copies even some that have been flown in "Asterix", and signed by the artist and pilot. We are currently sorting our exactly how many copies we have of the print which was a limited edition, the price will also be in line with the cost of prints of this quality with all proceeds going to the Meteor Flight.
We also have a range of model kitsets which are offered at below normal retail price plus postage and packing depending on the size and weight so the more you buy the lower this will be per item.

1:72nd Scale, Airfix Meteor III![]() |
This is a simple but very nice kit of the early Meteor F3 with long span wings and the original short engine nacelles. The kit assembles easily and for its age is an excellent kit. I am building one of these at the moment and as soon as it is finished I will post a picture of it and a full review. £3.99 |
1:48th Scale, Tamiya Gloster Meteor III![]() |
This is an updated version of Tamiya's original Meteor kit which was created using Cosford's DG202 (which is why it originally had air-brakes and detail differences in the wing. The updated kit is really tremendous and will make a superb kit. It includes excellent cockpit detail and two Derwent engines which you will be able to see if you don't paint the engine covers which are supplied in clear plastic. It has markings for four different F3's all operated by 616 squadron in the closing stages of WWII. £21.99 |
1:48th Scale, Tamiya ME262 A-1A![]() |
This is the fighter version of the first operational German jet aircraft. It is up to Tamiya's usual standard which means that it is superb na dwould build into a lovely kit yet it doesn't look overly complex which doesn't put it beyond the less experienced modeller who might want to put together a collection of early jet aircraft in the same scale. Like the Meteor kit it has a well detailed cockpit with the option of leaving the canopy open or closed. £24.99 |
1:48th Scale, Tamiya ME262 A-2A & Kettenkraftrad![]() |
This is the bomber version of the ME262 which has two less 20mm cannon in the nose and provision for bombs under the fuselage which are included in the kit. It includes the small 3/4 tracked 'Kettenkraftrad' towing vehicle which was often used to move the aircraft around due to the short operational life of the ME262's Junkers Jumo engines (unlike the much more reliable althoug less powerful Derwents). Its not a cheap kit but is worth the price because it has a high level of detail and includes several figures so would make a great mini-diorama. £32.99 |
1:72nd Scale, Airfix Vampire FB5![]() |
Airfix Series 3 kit which will build an RAF FB5 or the Swedish Air Force J28, also includes decals for the Scandanavian Historic Flight. £5.49 |
Postage and packing will be in addition to the prices above. It will always be at cost and all proceeds from these sales will go to the Meteor Flight. Payment can can be made by PayPal, NoChex or Postal Order to Andrew Broxholme, PayPal is also accepted but will incur a surcharge as EBay charges fees of 0.20p + 3.4% of all payments. Models will be shipped as soon as payment is confirmed (please include a cheque guarantee number if paying by cheque).
