Page updates
Nov 2011: Meteor F8, WH291 has moved to Speke, Liverpool for restoration by Mike Davey in exchange for WK914 which has left the UK for the Malta Air Museum. The exchange took place earlier this year but have only recently brought all the various pages up to date.
Feb 2011: WH132 (T7), Thanks to Flt Lt Gareth Marriott, OC 276 Sqn ATC who has passed on news of the departure of WH132 to RAF Leconfield in Yorkshire in September 2010. It will go on display as a gate guardian after refurbishment. It was a resident of Chelmsford for 44 years arriving in 1966.
Feb 2011: WS776 (NF14) Is now at Hurn with Bournmouth aviation museum, Is been nicely restored and is clearly well cared for, it still appears to be in its 25 squadron colours.
Sept 2010: WM366 (NF13) This is currently in storage having been moved from Lasham after the Second World War Aircraft preservation group closed its doors.
Sept 2010: WH291 (F8) This has been moved from Lasham and is in storage, it is one of the most complete F8's in existence as it flew into Lasham before spending many years on display in less than ideal conditions.
Sept 2010: WS760 (NF14) This was the center section of the aircraft originally selected by the Meteor Flight for restoration. It was however too badly corroded and with space at a premium was moved outside. It was scrapped when the group moved away from Yatesbury as it had no useful or salvageable components.
Jan 2010: WF825 (T7) is now at Montrose Air Museum, It was briefly with the Wings Museum at Redhill after its disposal by the Meteor Flight at Yatesbury.
Feb 2009: A new photo of WS792 (NF14) at Brighouse bay, its markings are a bit of a hash but its looking much smarter in a new coat of paint.
Feb 2009: WL405 has now moved to Bruntingthorpe, previously a spares source for the Meteor Flight at Yatesbury it is now to be restored by Martin Garrett.
May 2007: WS774 (NF14) & WL360 (T7) have now left the UK, they can now be found at the Malta Air Museum. WS774 will probably go straight on display but WL360 requires a great deal of restoration.
Dec 2006: Thanks to David Winterbottom for new picture of WS726 at Royton. They did a fantastic job restoring and repainting the aircraft.
Jan 2005: WH453 previously grounded as a spares source at Llanbedr is to be restored back to its original F8 configuration by the Bentwaters Aviation Society.
