Updates
October 2011: The debut of WA591 at the Duxford airshow returned us to a total of five airworthy meteors. I'm keeping WK800 on the page for now although it cannot realistically take to the air again as it has run out of flying hours.
June 2009: As a recent retirement Gloster Meteor WK800 remains on this page. It truly is a historic airframe not only due to its long service life but because it is also a veteran of the Korean conflict where it served with the 77 Sqn RAAF before its conversion and long service as a pilotless drone at Llanbedr, I hope that it finds a suitable home given these considerations.
If you have up to date images of any of the Meteors above, especially if there is no photograph of the airframe then please get in contact. We would also like to know about any other airframes or cockpit sections that may exist which are not listed. Additional historical information can also be sent in at any time. Please get permission from the copyright holder before sending in any image that is not your own. We are not in a financial position to purchase images for use on this site.
