Nigel's father climbing into FR9 VW308

Many thanks to Nigel Ramsay for these images. His father Henry 'Sailor' Ramsay flew Meteors from Martlesham Heath in 1952/53. First joining the RAF in 1939. He served with Bomber command initially as a navigator, later as a Sgt Pilot. He survived the war despite being shot down five times and left the RAF at the end of the war, rejoined in 1951 and serving until retirement in 1965. He went on to fly lightnings in Saudi Arabia in 1967 and died in 1968 at the age of 52 from a heart attack.

The Ramsay's lived next to W/Cdr Johnstone at Martlesham Heath but lost contact after the death of his father. Nigel believes that he retired to Maidstone and would like to re-establish contact if he is still alive, can anyone help?.
